Long-term help

We as HB Foundation aim to help on long term by changing their lives. This will be possible by finding jobs for the widow women. This way they get a chance in the labor market and they will be able to provide for their own food and satisfy their needs on a longer term.

We will also provide for education for their children. This education is very important. The next generation will be educated and will not fall into the pattern of their parents. They will not be uneducated and they will have more and better chances in the labor market.

On a long term we hope to prevent that the next generation will fall into the same pattern as their parents, helpless due to the lack of education. This generation will be able to stand on their own feet, support their mother in an older age when she will not be able to work, and support their own families in need in a good and efficient way.

The chain of helplessness will be broken, and the pattern will change on a long term. We will have a better society and the whole country can rise.

Our long term projects are meant to help people establish a new life. These are the long term projects we have in our plans and we were able to implement some of them:

1.Chair and Desk for Guldara School

For the vast majority of schools in other countries, chairs, desks and water are things we take for granted, it’s a different story in a number of vulnerable Afghanistan communities. Among the many obstacles preventing children, especially girls, from getting an education is poor school infrastructure—inadequate classrooms and a lack of furniture and proper sanitation facilities.
One of the challenges that Afghanistan’s education system faces is the lack of basic facilities for schools. Guldara school was one of those schools. The students used to sit on the ground each and everyday and in HB foundation we are proud to provide chair and desk for this school.

2. Clean Water for Students

Following a natural disaster, population displacement or a war, the lack of drinking water and inadequate sanitary conditions – often aggravated by overcrowding – can generate considerable risks to health and for the survival of those injured.

We as HB Foundation developed a Clean Water Access system for students who are really vulnerable against disease caused by unhealthy water. Now the students of Sultan Razia Girls School have access to clean water.

3. Providing necessary furniture for Schools

Sultan Razia girls school was one of those schools. The girls used to sit on the ground each and everyday and in HB foundation we are proud to provide chair and table for this school. We chose Sultan Razia due to gender equalities we believe in.

4.Providing opportunity for women in Labour market

Theres has been 40 years of civil war in Afghanistan. These wars have cost a lot of families their wives, husbands and kids. Most of the casualties in such a male dominated society are men. When a family misses the man it is very difficult for  woman of the family to have a chance in labour market.
We at HB foundation try to give these women a chance in labour market to try and provide for their family. They will be able to provide for the rest of the family and this way kids of the family can go to school and study. When we recognise these families we will first give basic education for these women and then try to give them a job in HB. If we don’t have a vacant space we will try to use our contacts (in textiles factories, shops, universities and etc) and suggest these women for the position announced.

5. Education for Kids

A society’s all focus should be the future, we might not be able to change today at once but we shall change the future. If these kids that are working in the labour market don’t go to school of course they wont have a path of improvement in the future.
We all have to start doing something practical for these kids. They should study today so that tomorrow they shall not be vulnerable if they loose the father or husband due to war or disease or anything else, they must be able to take care of themselves it is only possible if they are educated human beings in the future.
HB foundation’s main goal is these kids. We will try to provide foods for the families in short term, giving the mothers of the family an opportunity in the labour market, providing necessary equipments at schools so that next generation shall be an educated human beings who can take care of themselves.
